I often wonder how many First Born Son readers are out there, because there are often no comments. So I saw this picture and knew it needed a caption, and thought, "Caption Comment Contest." The winner gets my admiration, because I know there is a good caption for this, I just can't think of it.My folks are in town this week for Thanksgiving, and we're off to see the cousins in Ohio today. But stay tuned, we'll have plenty at First Born during the holiday week.
Peace be with you...

i have been a sporadic FBS reader for a while now. my friend and yours D. Merricks pointed me your way. My wife and I (along with D. and Corrie, when they aren't running the Wesley Foundation) are planting a new church here in Oxford,MS. I have really enjoyed your perspective on global events and hope you keep up the good work.

If you do a search on "web-site counters," you can probably add one to this site...At least you can on xanga and myspace. then you can have a better idea of how many fans you really have. :)
Omar, first time long time, I really enjoy your blog. Caption "we've traveled many miles to tell you you gotta check out this blog First Born Son."
I read your article in Sojourners on who is the enemy.
I then saw a picture of the nativity with three wise men with turbans and looking very Arab like worshiping the Christ Child.
I do wonder what has happened?
Again I was recently discussing a poster telling people all arabs want to do is kill all American

and his message to me shortly before he blocked me preventing any form of further discussion.
"May the terrorists...
visit you and show you how much they appreciate your support...."
I wonder how and why people can make such statements then be unwilling to defend them in open discussion.
It is indeed a strange world we live in.
Peace and a merry Christmas to you and your family
