Did Christ say to his disiples, go out & conquer those who will not follow my teachings? Did he kill or start wars? He could have asked his father to smite down kings & countries to get his point across, but he didn't. He preached. He threw some things in the temple, but he didn't start a war. AND he never fabricated lies to initiate fear in his followers so that they would go along with what ever he said. He preached. So don't go using religion as a reason for a war and don't tell me that God will punish someone who doesn't support a war. What hogwash. And am I mistaken or didn't our father send his only son, Christ, down to us, to die on a cross, to forgive us our sins? Was there a commandment I missed that said if you don't support a war the government says is righteous, that it is a sin that Jesus's death doesn't count for?
